I bought these to walk through the woods during deer season. They were tough and did not get full of burrs and stickers. They handled going through thorny bushes well. However, they do not fit well for the job. I bought them a couple sizes big to accommodate wearing a layer or two of insulation. I found the legs to be snug hindering my mobility through the woods. They are also not cut for wearing 8" hunting boots, proving hard to pull back over my boots after lacing. All the hunting clothing currently marketed to medium and big game hunters is made of material that gets full of burrs, stickers and tears on thorns the moment you try to walk in the woods. My search for real hunting cloths continues.
Haven't had a chance to really use the pants as of yet. Although wearing them they seem to be at halfway decent early season pant and sizes run fairly accurate. I would like to have had them be a little thicker with a little bit more water repellent layer over the top
Purchased these for my son for a trip to Iowa and they definitely performed better than expected. Will be purchasing a pair or two for myself as well.
