Haven't been out in foul weather with it yet, but it's very warm and is big enough to wear over a ball cap too, which is nice when it's sunny out.

Warm enough and waterproof

Hat is nice and does what it says. Its thick enough that it is difficult for me to hear with it down over my ears.
