Trails End Jacket

I like the jacket overall and will get good usage out of it. However, I have had really bad luck with plastic zippers in the past. I'm not saying that these will fail, but I may wind-up looking for a good seamstress to add quality metal zippers.
Sizing-wise, I picked medium because it was 6" beyond my chest size so I could add layers underneath the jacket. Nope. The jacket fits flawlessly wearing just a T-shirt (ouch). It looks like this will be a REALLY early season garment. That's somewhat my fault, but I was hoping that a garment that is advertised as 6" above my (recently measured) chest size would be capable of accommodating a sweatshirt. My advice would be to buy not one, but two sizes up if you intend to layer to any degree.

I got a 3xl and it fits perfectly. Plenty of room underneath to layer with. I wore it over some layers on a rainy day this past rifle season. I was out all day and got rained on for a good four hours. I took several hours for me to start to get wet underneath. So it’s a pretty good rain jacket. The shoulder seams are done in a way to give you more range of motion in your arms. That is really nice for shouldering a gun.

Well made and fits super! I can't wait to get the matching pants.
