Very warm and soft. zip off shell is a nice layer to keep in your backpack. I would prefer a more cold weather (winter) camo pattern - ie brown/grey with less green and more white.
Very nice warm jacket have worn it several cold mornings very warm very satisfied with purchase
For the price I’m happy with purchase.
Combining Sherpa fleece with PrimaLoft
is a good combo for warmth. It’s got the right amount of weight that I feel is needed
to keep warm. Happy with this coat. I’ll still use the right amount of layering underneath.
A nice fitting jacket. Extremely warm and blocks the wind well!
I initially got the camo Broadside Hunting Jacket (BHJ) a couple of years ago and it is my go to outer layer during archery and muzzleloader seasons. It's listed as a jacket, which I associate with a lighter garment, however, I'd call it a coat because it is definitely a heavy outer layer when used with the lining. It's very comfortable and warm and the inner lining has a full zipper and is easy to take in and out when it's not too cold. I liked the camo version so much that I purchased the orange camo version for gun season this year. There were a few additions to the outer pockets including having a zippered pouch on the chest pockets, but I didn't find the original lacking at all. I can't speak to how weather proof the BHJ is, but expect it will be more than acceptable if/when I'm out in wet weather. Overall I'm very satisfied with the BHJ as I have been with all the Gamehide products I've purchased.
